8.27.13 ANNOUNCEMENTS

STUDENT INFORMATION

There will be a Future Teacher's meeting for all current members and those interested on Wednesday during I/E period in the Lecture Hall. Ask Mr. Ellinger if you have questions. (All of this year's FTA Teacher Assistants must be in attendance).

If you want ta club to join that involves photography, graphics, socialization and fun, then it is for you!!
First meeting is during I/E period on Thursday, August 29th in room 104 (Mrs. Langmeyer's room).

PROGRESS BOOK USERNAME AND PASSWORDS HAVE CHANGED!!!!
We will be sending home letters this week explaining how to register for a new username and password. Please share this information with your parents.  Also TODAY during lunch, students will receive their new USERNAME and PASSWORD!!
 
If you are interested in being part of Students Against Destructive Decisions (aka SADD), please sign up in Mrs. Wenning's Room (211) on the table next to her door.  You need to sign-up before August 30th .  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Wenning before or after school.
 
Do you enjoy reading, writing, and/or art?  Then ReQuest is just the club for you.  Students of all grade levels are welcome to help us select writings, choose artwork , produce and sell the 2013-14 Literary Magazine.  See Mrs. Lefeld or Miss Brunswick for more details.

The lunch menu for WEDNESDAY is french toast sticks, sausage links, hash brown, fruit juice and milk.
 
SPORTS/ATHLETICS

ATTENTION: There will be a meeting for all boys who want to play basketball and not involved in a fall sport on the EAST STAGE on Wednesday, August 28th (right after school) . We will discuss our fall schedule!!
 
ATTENTION all girls playing softball this spring, there will be a meeting in the Lecture hall at 7:00 AM on Wednesday, August 28th.
 
Celina girls golf team shot a 179 coming in 1st place against Defiance and Shawnee last night. Kelly Stahl shot a 45 and Johna Walls shot a 46. While Kailee Ross and Haley McGillvary, Celina's Medalists, sealed the victory with 44's!! The LADIES are 3-0 on the season!! We are back in action tonight at The Fox's Den!!
 
Boys soccer results at Miller City....Varsity tied 1-1 with that goal scored by Ryan Hoyng assisted by Isaac Elston. JV Won 4-1....Way to go BOYS!!

STUDENT INFORMATION

        **ANILEC yearbook staff will be outside the cafeteria this week....check to see if your name is on the list to see if you still need to buy a yearbook!!

     **REMINDER TO ALL SENIORS:  Go to hjgraduation.com and ORDER YOUR CAP AND GOWN TODAY !!!  After Friday, prices will increase. 

     **PLEASE RETURN BOOKS TO THE MEDIA CENTER NOW!!

     **Any book club member who would like to sign a 'get well card' for Mrs. Baltzell....please come to the Media Center during Advisory.

     **The lunch menu for FRIDAY is nachos supreme, burrito, taco, fruit and milk OR a hamburger sandwich.
SPORTS/ATHLETICS

This week our girls basketball team will be competing in the Sectional Tournament at Spencerville High School.  There are several policies enforced at ALL tournament contests:
  • It is the policy at all tournament games that balloons, banners, noisemakers and signs are not permitted.
  • Confetti or other similar items are not permitted.
  • Students are not permitted on the floor at anytime, before, during or after the game, including introductions.
  • Spectators MUST WEAR SHIRT AT ALL O.H.S.A.A. SPONSORED TOURNAMENTS.
  • $2.00 Donation for Parking
Students will be asked to NOT stand on the top of bleachers as this has caused considerable damage to many sites.  Damage inflicted on facilities is charged to the competing schools.

Pre-Sale tickets for Friday's Boys Basketball Sectional Final contest at Lima Sr. High School will be sold in the High School Athletic Office TODAY and Friday 3/1 from 7:00 a.m. -
2:30 p.m.  Celina will receive a percentage of the pre-sale ticket sales.

Pre-Sale tickets for TONIGHT'S Girls Basketball District Semi-Final Contest at Paulding High School will be sold in the High School Athletic Office TODAY from 7:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.  Provided the girls win, pre-sale tickets will be available TOMORROW as well for the Saturday, 3/2 District Finals at Paulding High School at 7:00 p.m.  Celina will receive a percentage of pre-sale ticket sales.  

Let's "Keep the Tradition Going"...for only $10.00 you can stop in the office and purchase your Boys Basketball Tournament Shirt and support our Dogs during Tournaments.

     **There will be a CHS Students for Life meeting after school this Friday at 2:30 in Mr. Andrew's room.  All are welcome to attend.

     **ANILEC yearbook staff:  There will be a meeting TODAY at 2:30 in the Media Center.  Please plan to attend!!
       
     **Homecoming guest forms are in the office.  You must fill a form out in order to bring a 'non-Celina student' to Homecoming.  Forms are due TOMORROW....NO EXCEPTIONS!!
         
     **The Blood Drive will be here on Thursday, February 21st.  The sign up form is in the office....don't delay because it is filling up fast.  Be heroic, get a free t-shirt and HELP SAVE LIVES!!

     **STUDY TABLES are offered every day after school from 2:30 - 3:00 and Thursday evenings from 7:00 - 8:00.  If you need a little extra boost in a specific subject area(s)....then be there!!

     **The junior class needs concession stand workers for the boy's basketball game Friday January 18th.  Sign up today in room 201 (Mr. Higgin's room).  Popcorn workers report to the Field house at 4:30 and all other workers need to be there by 5:30.

     **The lunch menu for Thursday is pasta bar, bread stick, green beans, pears, and milk OR a chicken patty sandwich.

     **The junior class needs concession stand workers for the boy's basketball games TOMORROW, January 12th and Monday, January 14th.  Sign up today in room 201 (Mr. Higgin's room).  Popcorn workers report to the Field house at 4:30 and all other workers need to be there by 5:30.
    
     **ANILEC yearbook staff will have a mandatory meeting immediately after announcements TODAY during advisory.

     **Fighting for Flaute wristbands are in the office for $2.  All proceeds will go to the Dan Flaute Family, in which Dan is battling Pancreatic Cancer.

     **Homecoming guest forms are in the office.  You must fill a form out in order to bring a 'non-Celina student' to Homecoming.

     **Those students that have not picked up their ASVAB scores may do so in the Guidance office at your convenience.
