STUDENT INFORMATION

JUNIORS AND SENIORS.....SIGN UP IN THE GUIDANCE OFFICE to attend the 4th session, sponsored by Celina Mercer County Chamber & Rotary Club, which will take place on TODAY, December 18th during I.E./Advisory. This topic will focus on "Resumes Reflect You!" The more sessions you attend, the greater chance of winning a FLAT SCREEN TV!!

The Spirit Squad Christmas party will be right after school on THURSDAY, DECEMBER 19TH.  Please stop by room 212 TODAY and let Mrs. Ball know if you plan to attend so food can be ordered.

REMEMBER during lunch you can buy a yard of duct tape for $1.00 to tape one of your classmates up to a wall during the Christmas assembly.

Freshmen class ring delivery TODAY, December 18th during I/E!!

LAST DAY to sign up in the office FOR THE BLOOD DRIVE, which will take place on TOMORROW, December 19th. BE A HERO!!  REMINDER TO ALL 16 YEAR OLDS THAT SIGNED UP TO DONATE.....BRING YOUR PARENT PERMISSION SLIP TO THE OFFICE ASAP, or you will not be able to donate!!

The Scholastic Team will be selling hot chocolate this week in the commons area at 7:00 every morning.  It's a dollar a cup - whipped cream and marshmallows included!!

ATTENTION SCHOLASTIC TEAM MEMBERS:  We'll be doing our first artificial Knowledge Master Open TODAY, December 18th after school.  If you cannot make it, please see Mrs. Hoover.

The theme for Winter Homecoming is AMERICA. It will be on January 11th, from 8 - 11 p.m. Tickets will be sold starting on January 6th through the 10th. Tickets can also be purchased at the door. The price is $8.00.

SENIORS.....ORDER YOUR CAP AND GOWN BEFORE LEAVING FOR CHRISTMAS BREAK!!  THE PRICE INCREASES TREMENDOUSLY AFTER THE FIRST OF THE YEAR!!  Any questions, see Kassie!

The junior class needs workers for the concession stand for the boys' basketball game on Saturday, December 21st and Saturday, January 4th. Sign up TODAY in Mr. Higgins' room, room 201. All popcorn workers need to be at the Fieldhouse at 4:30 and all other workers need to be there at 5:30.

Anyone who would like to participate in the Christmas assembly on Friday, December 20th, please sign up for different activities in the lobby!! Student Council needs students from each grade.
 
The lunch menu for THURSDAY, DECEMBER 19TH is pasta bar, bread stick, green beans, pears and milk OR a BBQ Pork Rib Sandwich.


SPORTS/ATHLETICS
Pre-sale tickets for BOYS BASKETBALL will be sold every Thursday and Friday in the High School Athletic Office from 10:45 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Student pre-sale tickets are $4.00. Adult pre-sale tickets are $6.00. All general admission tickets will be $6.00 at the door.

ASSET ALLOCATION BOYS BASKETBALL CLASSIC will be at "The Palace" in Coldwater on Friday, December 27th and Saturday, December 28th.  Tickets will be sold at the door for $6.00!!

ATTENTION SOPHOMORES:  If you missed the Tri Star meeting last Friday, November 22nd and you would like to sign up to go on a Tri Star visit, stop in the Guidance Office and fill out a form with your choice of location.

ATTENTION SENIORS WHO PLAN TO CONTINUE EDUCATION AFTER HIGH SCHOOL.....There will be a Financial Aid Meeting for seniors and parents on Monday, December 9th at 6:30 p.m. in the Lecture Hall.  A University Financial Aid Advisor will be presenting the information.  Please note this date is different from what is shown on the District calendar.

We are so excited to have these, but we are a ways away from our 1,500 toy goal.  Please continue to think of those who are spending their Christmases in the hospital this year. We appreciate all of your help in spreading the word and your donations!!

ATTENTION SENIORS: TODAY is the LAST day to request a transcript IF YOU WANT IT SENT OUT BEFORE THANKSGIVING BREAK.
Keep in mind that we will be out of school Nov. 27 - Dec. 2. If you are applying to a college with an admission deadline of Dec. 1st (For example: University of Cincinnati, Miami University) you will need to be sure and take care of requesting transcripts by the end of TODAY!  IF you are applying through the Common Application, you also need to make your counselor aware of this TODAY! NO SCHOOL REPORT FORMS WILL BE ABLE TO BE PROCESSED DURING THE BREAK.

SPORTS/ATHLETICS

Are you someone who is energetic, who has good sportsmanship and school spirit??? Do you like to jump around and give high fives???? YOU could be our next Spike!!!
We are looking for a Bulldog Mascot for this basketball season. You must not be a participant in any other Winter sports because as the mascot, you will earn a Varsity letter. Males and females are welcome and tumbling is not required. If you have any questions, see Miss Brunswick. All students interested should write their name on the sign-up sheet in the office.

Sign up in the office for our annual Blood Drive which will be here on Tuesday, October 22nd. You must be 16 years of age to donate!!

FRIDAY IS AN FTA DONUT DAY...YUM, YUM!!  :)

Anyone who pre-ordered and purchased 2013 ANILEC yearbook, may pick them up Monday - Friday during I/E period in the Media Center.

Many students have not turned in their AUPs or Photo Release forms to the Media Center.  A list is posted by the Media Center and on the front office window.  Please look at the list and get your forms turned in right away.  Mr. Gudorf is going to disable your computer access if your proper documentation is not turned in.

Spirit Squad still has a few spots left for you to sign up to work at Friday's
game.  See the sign up sheets in room 212 if you'd like to help out!  Also, don't forget that you can sign up for a FREE TICKET to the game in the office under the phone.  You will be notified by Thursday if you've won!!

Parkway is currently in the lead to win "The Best Fans in the Land" sponsored by Stolly Insurance.  Please take a minute to visit their facebook page and VOTE, VOTE, VOTE!!  You can submit your own photos to help us win a pizza tailgate and the honor of truly being the BEST FANS IN THE LAND!!

ATTENTION SENIORS:  Herff Jones will be here TOMORROW, OCTOBER 1ST, during lunchtime to take Graduation Orders!!
Also our Herff Jones representative will be here TOMORROW afternoon from 2:30-6:00 pm to take RING ORDERS.

Friday, October 4th....there will be a Physical Therapist in the CAPT building to talk to any student interested in a career in Physical Therapy. She will be speaking form 1:30 - 2:20 pm. Interested students should sign up in the Guidance Office and be in the CAPT building during Friday's I/E period.
 
 Rhodes State College will have a representative in the Media Center during I/E TODAY!!  If you wish to attend the presentation, and you have not signed up, please sign up in the Guidance Office by the end of 2nd period TODAY.

Remember to turn in your ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY as soon as possible!!
Look in the front of your student handbook and if your AUP is still in it, sign and date both sides (with your parent/guardian), then take it to Mrs. Baltzell.

Any Spirit Squad member that is interested in painting driveways on Saturday needs to be at the front doors of the high school Saturday at 11 am.  See Mrs. Ball if you have any questions!

Celina is currently up for Fans of the Week from WOSN!  Let's make that golden mega phone ours again!  Cast your vote at http://www.wosn.tv/fans-of-the-week/ Don't forget to vote for us on the Stolly Insurance group facebook page, too!

Defiance College will have a representative here during I/E period TODAY.  If you wish to attend and you have not signed up, please sign up in the Guidance Office by the end of second period today.

AAA certified technicians will inspect cars free of charge in the student parking lot TOMORROW. After the inspection is complete, all participants receive a FREE LUNCH, compliments of AAA.
THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE....SO SIGN UP TODAY!!!!

If you are planning on taking a non-Celina student to the Homecoming dance on Saturday, Oct. 5th, you must fill out a visitor form. They are located in the office.

Your fall makeup/retake picture day is Wednesday, October 16th.  Picture packets will be available in the office the beginning of October.
 
There will be an FTA meeting TOMORROW in the Lecture Hall during I/E period.
 
There will be a SADD meeting TOMORROW after school in Mrs. Wenning's room 211. If you cannot make it, see Mrs. Wenning.

Spirit Squad has 10 free tickets to give away for Friday's home football game.  If you would like to win one of these tickets, there are small forms to fill out in the front office.  These forms must be filled out and turned into the container in the front office by 2:20 pm on Wednesday.  Winners will be notified on Thursday.

Spirit Squad also now has 5 all sports passes available for rental.  These all sports passes will get you entry to any Fall sport game except for Varsity Football for free.  There are plenty of games to attend this evening!  If you would like to rent out one of these passes for any game during the fall sports season, they will be given out on a first come, first served basis.  Please see Mrs. Ball for details or to borrow a card for tonight's games!! 

Today is the last day for anyone interested in joining the ANILEC (yearbook staff).  Sign up in Mrs. Langmeyer's room 104.  The ANILEC will meet on Wednesdays and all members will go directly to the Media Center at the beginning of I/E period.

ANY SENIOR participating in senior night this Friday, WHO INDICATED THEY NEEDED TICKETS, please pick those up from Mr. Boley during lunch on Thursday or Friday!!

We will be having an assembly this Friday, September 13th and there will be an adjusted schedule.  The assembly will take place from 9:33 - 10:33 a.m.  Junior Tri-Star students may attend but will need to be released early and only if you have your own transportation.  Also Juniors need to sign in at the office if attending.  Senior Tri-Star students will be released after the assembly and will miss your 3rd period class since it's later in the day.  Senior Tri-Star students should see their 3rd period teachers early for assignments.

GUIDANCE

Edison Community College in Piqua is offering an ACT PREP Course beginning on September 24th. Sessions will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Stop in the guidance office for additional information.
 
Big Brothers Big Sisters is looking for sophomores and juniors to be a friend for an area elementary student. The program meets once a week for group activities, snacks, games and LOTS of fun!
