REMINDER....MONDAY, MARCH 24TH IS A TEACHER IN-SERVICE DAY, SO WE WILL BE ON A SCHEDULED 2 HOUR DELAY.

Tri-Star buses will run as normal at Coldwater and Celina,
Monday, March 24th.

There will be an FTA meeting TODAY in room 301 during Advisory Period.

Senior Class t-shirts have arrived.....so if you ordered a shirt, please pick it up in Mr. Andrew's room, room 109.

Tickets for this year's spring musical, Shrek, are on sale NOW!! Performances are April 3rd - April 6th and April 10th - April 13th. Stop by the office to pick up a ticket form to reserve your seats today!!

SENIOR TRI-STAR STUDENTS....Pick up your grade card in the office before you leave TODAY!! Also, any student that DID NOT get their grade card, please stop in the office during lunch to pick it up!!

Last call for former students in Mrs. Langmeyer's Healthy and Safe Foods to pick up and return permission slips for Jungle Jim's International food market.  All going should meet in room 104 at 7:15 a.m. March 26th.   Permission slips must be turned in by TOMORROW, MARCH 20th.

The lunch menu for THURSDAY is pasta bar, bread stick, green beans, pears, & milk OR a meatball sub.

Wrestling Open Mats will be on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7 - 8:30 in the CAPT building.

For anyone that is interested in playing football next year, there will be a football meeting on THURSDAY, MARCH 20TH during I/E period in the Lecture Hall at 2:05.

GUIDANCE

ATTENTION JUNIORS: If you are NOT in an English class this trimester, please stop by the Guidance office to receive information on the PSAT and college preparation.

ATTENTION JUNIORS: The PSAT test is being offered on October 16th to any junior who wishes to take it. This test is the qualifying test to enter National Merit Scholarship competitions. Interested students can register with Mrs. Booher in the Guidance Office during the week of September 16th - September 20th. You must bring a check for $14.00 made out to Celina High School.

Otterbein University will have a representative here during I/E today. If you wish to attend and you have not signed up, please sign up in the Guidance Office by the end of second period today.

Bluffton University will have a representative in the cafeteria hallway during lunch tomorrow.

SPORTS/ATHLETICS
 
It's time to get registered for your High School Bowling Team.
No experience required. Just be willing to learn.
Bowling is a good time you can have with your family and friends.
Registration is open to boys and girls.

STUDENT INFORMATION
 
There will be an FTA meeting TODAY in the Media Center during I/E period.
There will be a SADD meeting TODAY after school in Mrs. Wenning's room 211. If you cannot make it, see Mrs. Wenning. 

ANY SENIOR participating in senior night this Friday, WHO INDICATED THEY NEEDED TICKETS, please pick those up from Mr. Boley during lunch TODAY or TOMORROW!!

We will be having an assembly this Friday, September 13th and there will be an adjusted schedule. The assembly will take place from 9:33 - 10:33 a.m. Junior Tri-Star students may attend but will need to be released early and only if you have your own transportation. Also Juniors need to sign in at the office if attending. Senior Tri-Star students will be released after the assembly and will miss your 3rd period class since it's later in the day. Senior Tri-Star students should see their 3rd period teachers early for assignments.
 
The lunch menu for FRIDAY is Mexican bar:  nachos, burrito, taco with lettuce and cheese, refried beans, fruit and milk OR a cheeseburger sandwich. 

SPORTS/ATHLETICS

GUIDANCE

Edison Community College in Piqua is offering an ACT PREP Course beginning on September 24th. Sessions will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Stop in the guidance office for additional information.
 
Big Brothers Big Sisters is looking for sophomores and juniors to be a friend for an area elementary student. The program meets once a week for group activities, snacks, games and LOTS of fun!
Applications are available in the Guidance office.

The following colleges/universities will have a representative at CHS during I/E period in September. You must sign up in the guidance office if you wish to attend the presentation.

STUDENT INFORMATION

AAA certified technicians will inspect cars free of charge in the student parking lot TOMORROW. After the inspection is complete, all participants receive a FREE LUNCH, compliments of AAA.
THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE....SO SIGN UP TODAY!!!!

If you are planning on taking a non-Celina student to the Homecoming dance on Saturday, Oct. 5th, you must fill out a visitor form. They are located in the office.

Your fall makeup/retake picture day is Wednesday, October 16th.  Picture packets will be available in the office the beginning of October.
 
There will be an FTA meeting TOMORROW in the Lecture Hall during I/E period.
 
There will be a SADD meeting TOMORROW after school in Mrs. Wenning's room 211. If you cannot make it, see Mrs. Wenning.

Spirit Squad has 10 free tickets to give away for Friday's home football game.  If you would like to win one of these tickets, there are small forms to fill out in the front office.  These forms must be filled out and turned into the container in the front office by 2:20 pm on Wednesday.  Winners will be notified on Thursday.

Spirit Squad also now has 5 all sports passes available for rental.  These all sports passes will get you entry to any Fall sport game except for Varsity Football for free.  There are plenty of games to attend this evening!  If you would like to rent out one of these passes for any game during the fall sports season, they will be given out on a first come, first served basis.  Please see Mrs. Ball for details or to borrow a card for tonight's games!! 

Today is the last day for anyone interested in joining the ANILEC (yearbook staff).  Sign up in Mrs. Langmeyer's room 104.  The ANILEC will meet on Wednesdays and all members will go directly to the Media Center at the beginning of I/E period.

BOYS SOCCER RESULTS
Varsity defeated Defiance 8-0
Ryan Hoyng (3 goals), Eric Moeder, Brennen Piper, Eddie Eichler, Braden Conn, & Jarren Casto all had 1 goal.
JV won 4-0

Special birthday wishes go out today to Michael Hoenie, Cameron Mohler, and Skyler Houts.....HAPPY WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY!!  :)

There will be a Future Teacher's meeting for all current members and those interested TODAY during I/E period in the MEDIA CENTER. Ask Mr. Ellinger if you have questions. (All of this year's FTA Teacher Assistants must be in attendance).

If you want ta club to join that involves photography, graphics, socialization and fun, then it is for you!!
First meeting is during I/E period TOMORROW in room 104 (Mrs. Langmeyer's room).

PROGRESS BOOK USERNAME AND PASSWORDS HAVE CHANGED!!!!
We will be sending home letters this week explaining how to register for a new username and password. Please share this information with your parents. Also during lunch, students will need to go to the office to receive their new USERNAME and PASSWORD!!
 
If you are interested in being part of Students Against Destructive Decisions (aka SADD), please sign up in Mrs. Wenning's Room (211) on the table next to her door. You need to sign-up before August 30th . If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Wenning before or after school.
 
TOMORROW, right after school, in room 212, there will be the first Spirit Squad meeting for the 2013-14 school year!!
 
The Stratford Trip has seats available for this year's trip on October 9, 10, and 11.  There is less than one week left to sign up.  On this year's trip we will see Shakespeare's Othello, Fiddler on the Roof, and Tommy, the Rock Opera.  We will also have a private song and dance workshop with cast members from Tommy.  See Mr. Smith in room 214 for sign-up sheets and information. 
 
There will be a general Student Council meeting on Friday in the Lecture Hall during I/E period.  You must get your passes from MP prior to Friday's meeting.
Do you enjoy reading, writing, and/or art? Then ReQuest is just the club for you. Students of all grade levels are welcome to help us select writings, choose artwork , produce and sell the 2013-14 Literary Magazine. See Mrs. Lefeld or Miss Brunswick for more details.
 
The C.H.S. Autumn Theatre auditions for Once Upon a Wolf, are September 3rd from 6-8:00 p.m. in the Celina Ed. Complex.  These auditions are closed- just bring yourself!  There is no singing required.  This is a wonderful comedy, and we need a large cast of zany characters!  Once you have auditioned you are permitted to leave.  Hope to see you September 3rd!!!  If you have any questions, please call Sheila Gudorf at 419-586-1494.

REPORTING IN....Celina Varsity Volleyball scores from last night....CHS lost in 4 sets to St. Henry 29 - 27, 17 - 25, 16 - 25, and 22- 25.

ATTENTION all girls playing softball this spring, there will be a meeting in the Lecture hall at 7:00 AM on Wednesday, August 28th.
 
Celina girls golf team shot a 179 coming in 1st place against Defiance and Shawnee last night. Kelly Stahl shot a 45 and Johna Walls shot a 46. While Kailee Ross and Haley McGillvary, Celina's Medalists, sealed the victory with 44's!! The LADIES are 3-0 on the season!! We are back in action tonight at The Fox's Den!!
 
Boys soccer results at Miller City....Varsity tied 1-1 with that goal scored by Ryan Hoyng assisted by Isaac Elston. JV Won 4-1....Way to go BOYS!!

STUDENT INFORMATION

     **There will be an FTA meeting TOMORROW in the Lecture Hall during advisory.

     **Don't forget to get ahead this trimester and attend Study Tables which are offered every day after school from 2:30 - 3:00 AND on Thursday evenings from 7:00 - 8:00 pm.

     **There will be a SADD meeting in the Media Center TOMORROW during Advisory.

     **The lunch menu for FRIDAY is nachos supreme, burrito, taco, fruit and milk OR a hamburger sandwich.
SPORTS/ATHLETICS


   **FTA  will have an Open Gym at the Fieldhouse TONIGHT from 2:30 - 4:30 for the Student - Faculty Game.   At the end of this month, Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, and Senior Basketball teams will square off to see which will have the right to play the Faculty on April 2nd.
WRESTLERS: There will be an awards banquet and pizza party after school TODAY at 2:30 in Mr. Hucke's art room at the Middle School.  All wrestlers should attend. 

Happy BELATED Birthday Alyssa Hines, Jacqueline Haines, Brittany Brunswick and Brooke Martin....we hope you were able to SLEEP IN and ENJOY YOUR DAY OFF!!
