STUDENT INFORMATION


ALL FRESHMEN will be on a 2-hr delay the week of 3-10-14.
We will start Monday, March 10th with the BLACK schedule.
Tuesday, March 11th - GREEN schedule
Wednesday, March 12th - WHITE schedule
Thursday, March 13th - BLACK schedule
Friday, March 14th - GREEN schedule
**Also, ALL STUDENTS are to report to their ADVISORY class at 9:25 a.m. on Monday, March 10th to receive their 3rd trimester schedules.
 
The Student - Faculty game sponsored by F.T.A. will be April 29th. Sign-up in room 301 if you are interested in playing.

Reminder to JUNIORS.....We are still selling raffle tickets through Monday, March 10th.

The following students need to stop by the media center between classes today. Daniel Morris, Kara Bradford, Curtis Silliman, Kylee Ruch, Chelsea Slone, Libby Goede, Angel Prenger, Luke Bowsher and Shay Staugler.

IT'S TIME STUDENTS...

Return your library book if you are finished. Renew your library book if you want to keep it a little longer. Avoid charges and get this done right away before the trimester ends.

The lunch menu for THURSDAY is Pasta Bar, bread stick, green beans, pears, milk and Chicken Patty sandwich, French fries, fruit and milk.

 

Cheer tryouts for next school year will be held on WEDNESDAY, MARCH 12th and THURSDAY, MARCH 13th from 4 - 6 p.m. at the Field house; also on FRIDAY, MARCH 14th from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at CIS. Please sign the sheet and take an information sheet which are both located in the office. See Miss Brunswick with any questions.

ANY BOY GOING OUT FOR TENNIS.....There is a MANDATORY meeting Thursday, March 6th at 2:30 p.m. in the cafeteria.  You must attend to know where to go for practice on MONDAY!!

The 2014 FCA District 8 Volleyball ALL NIGHTER is Saturday, March 15th from 9:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m. at the Auglaize/Mercer YMCA.  The cost is $15 PRE-registration or $20 at the door which includes a volleyball tournament, food, a guest speaker, a band, a free t-shirt, and access to the YMCA facilities.  Anyone interested in attending can get registration forms from Coach Otten or Mr. Andrew.

SOPHOMORES:  Be sure you know what room you are assigned to for the OGT on Monday. You may check the lists posted on the front office window, or ask your advisory teacher. You will need to report to this location at 7:25 every day next week.
 
Requests for schedule changes are due by 9:30 a.m. on Friday. Papers must be signed by a parent and turned in to the guidance office by the deadline. NO changes will be made after Friday.

St. Mary’s Memorial High School is hosting a College and Technology Fair on Tuesday, March 18 from 5-7 p.m. This is a great opportunity for 10th and 11th graders to begin the process of searching for a college, and researching all of the different opportunities available after high school. There will be representatives from colleges, business, industry and military.

OGT   INFORMATION, March 10, 2014  -  March 14, 2014 

All freshmen will be on a 2-Hr delay the week of 03/10/14.  This also includes any junior &/or Senior that has passed all portions of the OGT.

ALL students are to report to their ADVISORY period @ 9:25 AM on Monday, 03/10/14 to receive their 3rd Trimester schedules, unless you are still taking the OGT.

Celina Bus Transportation will be operating on NORMAL SCHEDULE

Tri Star will be on NORMAL SCHEDULE during OGT week

Sophomores will be on NORMAL SCHOOL TIME the week of 3/10/14 to take the OGT’s.   Ask your advisory teacher for which room to report to Monday morning.  Lists will be posted on the front office window.

Any junior &/or Senior still needing an OGT should have received a letter or a notice from the Guidance Office.

NOTICE to any freshman, Junior or senior arriving before 9:15 AM during OGT week, you are to go to the CAFETERIA.      PLEASE----NO ONE in the HALLWAYS.

Several students' artwork has advanced to the state judging this weekend in Columbus for the Ohio Governor's Youth Art Exhibition.  Fourteen artworks have advanced as well from the following students:
Morgan Beatty (2), Kerry Jutte (3), Autumn Brehm (3), Minda Wott (2), Renee Robinson (2), Codee Slater (1), and Leah Zuercher (1).

Submit any original creative writing you have written in or out of class by Friday, February 28th.
All entries will be considered for entry into the prestigious ReQuest Magazine!!
Cash Prizes to 1st ($100), 2nd ($50), and 3rd ($25) place.
*Multiple entries may be made. Include submission form with each entry.

Student Council will be selling IFlirtz during lunch TODAY, FEBRUARY 26th.  The cost is $2 per IFlirt.

There will be a pizza party for ALL girl basketball players TOMORROW, FEB. 27th at the K of C Hall at 4:00 p.m. Please plan on bringing all uniforms, shooting shirts, pants and reversibles (all WASHED) to the party.

This week our BOYS basketball team will be competing in the Sectional Tournament at Lima Senior High School. There are several policies enforced at ALL tournament contests:
  • It is the policy at all tournament games that balloons, banners, noisemakers and signs are not permitted.
  • Confetti or other similar items are not permitted.
  • Students are not permitted on the floor at any time, before, during or after the game, including introductions.
  • Spectators MUST WEAR SHIRTS AT ALL O.H.S.A.A. SPONSORED TOURNAMENTS
Students will be asked to NOT stand on the top of bleachers as this has caused considerable damage to many sites. Damage inflicted on facilities is charged to the competing schools.
We ask each student to respect the opponent, respect the host schools property and respect the officials and players involved in the game.
Your cooperation makes for a GREAT basketball tournament atmosphere.

Grand Lake Health Systems is accepting applications for Volunteers to work at Joint Township Hospital.  There are a variety of positions available such as helping in the Emergency Room, assisting nurses with patients, clerical work, and many more.  This is a great opportunity if you are interested in any area of health care.  Volunteer experience also looks great on resumes and scholarship applications.  Stop in the Guidance Office for an application.

Your Donut Donations support the 2014 FTA Scholarship Fund - applications are available in the Guidance Office.

LISTEN UP:  The annual Children's Hospital toy drive is now in full swing and spots for the trip are filling up fast. If you would like to join see Mrs. Ball or Mrs. Kramer for a permission slip. Our goal this year is to collect 1500 brand new toys for kids in Dayton Children's - if you can help us meet our goal please drop your toys off in room 212.

STUDENTS PLEASE TURN IN YOUR EMERGENCY MEDICAL FORMS!!!
IF THEY ARE NOT SUBMITTED, WEDNESDAY SCHOOLS WILL BE ASSIGNED!!

The lunch menu for FRIDAY is Mexican Bar:  nachos, burrito, taco with lettuce and cheese, refried beans, fruit & milk OR a cheeseburger sandwich.

SPORTS/ATHLETICS
Anyone planning on running OUTDOOR TRACK in the Spring, needs to attend the brief meeting on Wednesday November 20th at 7:15 a.m. in the Lecture Hall.

Also those planning on running INDOOR TRACK, will have a brief meeting Wednesday November 20th at 2:30 p.m. in the CAPT building.

* All forms must be signed by a parent.

There will be a Teenage Republican Meeting TOMORROW at 6:50 a.m. in the cafeteria.

The annual Children's Hospital toy drive is now in full swing and spots for the trip are filling up fast.  If you would like to join see Mrs. Ball or Mrs. Kramer for a permission slip.  Our goal this year is to collect 1500 brand new toys for kids in Dayton Children's - if you can help us meet our goal please drop your toys off in room 212.

REMINDER....TOMORROW WE ARE ON A SCHEDULED 2 HOUR DELAY.  WE WILL BE ON THE GREEN SCHEDULE!!

There will be a Teenage Republican meeting Thursday, November 14th at 6:50 a.m. in the cafeteria.

The ANILEC is asking for all Seniors to begin turning in their baby pictures and senior pictures for use in this year's upcoming yearbook. Bring your baby pictures and senior pictures (with your name on it) to the office. Also, if you ordered last year's yearbook and did not pick it up, it needs to be picked up in the Media Center. There are still yearbooks available, so see Mrs. Langmeyer in room 104 if you would like one.
