STUDENT INFORMATION

Student Rotary winners that were scheduled to go to the Rotary luncheon yesterday, February 18th, will be rescheduled for march 18th at the same time.  Mr. Stetler will be passing out information to you!!

The lunch menu for THURSDAY is pasta bar, breadstick, green beans, pears, and milk OR a chicken patty sandwich.

ATTENTION TRACK ATHLETES...MANDATORY informational meeting for the upcoming spring track season will be held:  THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 20th for the BOYS after school in the cafeteria & TODAY, the GIRLS will meet in the Lecture Hall right after school.  Make plans to attend and bring a pen/pencil.
TRACK ATHLETES still participating in a winter sport, and who CANNOT attend the scheduled track meetings (Today and Thursday) MUST meet with Coach Otten during I.E. period on Monday, February 24th in the Media Center.

There will be a meeting tomorrow, February 20th in Mrs. Mitchell-Payne's room right after school for ALL GIRLS INTERESTED IN PLAYING SOCCER IN THE FALL OF 2014!

JUNIORS AND SENIORS.....Attend the 7th session, sponsored by Celina Mercer County Chamber & Rotary Club, which will take place on TUESDAY, JANUARY 28th during I.E./Advisory. This session will focus on "Know the Basics - Interviewing Skills." The more sessions you attend, the greater chance of winning a FLAT SCREEN TV!!

The junior class needs workers for the concession stand for the boys' basketball game on Saturday, January 25th. Sign up TODAY in Mr. Higgins' room, room 201. All popcorn workers need to be at the Fieldhouse at 4:30 and all other workers need to be there at 5:30.

Those going on the NY trip....next payment is due TOMORROW, January 24th!!

Because of the cancellation, the Students of the Month & Commended Students of the Month for January will now attend the Rotary Luncheon on February 18th with the February winners.

The lunch menu for FRIDAY is Mexican Bar;  nachos, burrito, taco with lettuce and cheese, refried beans, fruit and milk.

ATTENTION JUNIORS:  The American Legion is sponsoring Buckeye Boys State which is a week-long program at Bowling Green State University from June 8th through June 15th.  Any junior boy with scholastic achievement, leadership ability, an interest in government, and a willingness to be involved may pick up information in the Guidance Office.

Your donation helped serve 902 families involving 2,475 individuals during the month in need of food and personal care items. The Clothing Pantry served 222 families involving 722 individuals with 1,506 articles of clothing during the month of November. Your donations are always appreciated!! :)

The Scholastic Team is selling hot chocolate every morning before school in the Commons area. Cost is $1.00. You add all the marshmallows or whipped cream you want. Buy one for yourself or a friend.

TRACK ATHLETES (or athletes from any sport) are invited to attend speed training/running drill sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Sessions are after school in the HS lobby. For those who have early release, sessions are in the CAPT building at 1:35.

GUIDANCE

The Celina High School Post-Secondary Enrollment Options meeting will be held TODAY, January 15, 2014 at 6 p.m. in the high school Lecture Hall. The Post-Secondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) program provides high school students the opportunity to take classes at eligible post-secondary institutions. Any student who is considering taking college classes during the 2014-15 school year must attend with a parent. An advisor from Wright State Lake Campus will be present to help answer any questions.

Relieve your Final Exam tension on Friday morning with an FTA donut!

There will be a Teenage Republican Meeting TOMORROW at 6:50 a.m. in the cafeteria.

The annual Children's Hospital toy drive is now in full swing and spots for the trip are filling up fast.  If you would like to join see Mrs. Ball or Mrs. Kramer for a permission slip.  Our goal this year is to collect 1500 brand new toys for kids in Dayton Children's - if you can help us meet our goal please drop your toys off in room 212.

GUIDANCE
Students may request schedule changes now through 9:30 a.m. on Friday. Forms are available in the Guidance Office. Please keep the following in mind when requesting changes:

* Students may not drop a required class
* The class you are requesting to drop must meet the same period and trimester as the class you are adding. There is a schedule chart in the Guidance Office to help you with this. Classes will not be re-arranged on your schedule to accommodate your request.
* There must be room in the class you are requesting to add.
* All forms must be signed by a parent.

Forms must be received in the Guidance Office before 9:30 a.m. on FRIDAY. NO SCHEDULE CHANGES WILL BE MADE AFTER THAT TIME!!

The 2013 ANILEC/yearbook can still be picked up this week but ONLY during I/E period in the Media Center. Also ORDER next year's yearbook soon to save money. Forms are in the office.
THERE ARE STILL ALOT OF PEOPLE THAT NEED TO PICK UP THEIR YEARBOOKS, SO GET IT TODAY!!!!

Fall makeup/retake picture day is WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 16TH.  Forms are available in the front office.

STUDENT INFORMATION

Ø   It is time to order your official high school class
  ring.  TODAY from 2:20 – 5:30, the Graduation
 Representative will be located in the main entrance. 
 The senior class meeting for Graduation is
 postponed to next Tuesday, Sept. 25th.

Ø   There will be a French Club meeting in room
202  after school on Wed. Sept. 19th.

Ø   Teachers and students do not forget to get creative and have some fun with
 “week in 3 words”.  See Kassie in the office for a camera.

Ø   Hey super fans!  It's time that you did more than just the roller coaster and yelled
     through a stolen traffic cone.  Come to the lecture hall on Wednesday,
         September 19th at 7 pm so we can learn how Moses parts the GREEN sea, the
         boxer, and many more.  Be there or be square!

Ø  There will be a new group called Celina High School students for Life.  We will
 be discussing the truth about abortion as as well as hosting debates among other
 activities.  Our first meeting is Friday, Sept. 21 at 2:30 pm in Mr. Andrew’s room by
 the Media Center.

GUIDANCE NEWS

**The PSAT test is being offered on Oct. 17 to any junior who wishes to take it.  This test is the qualifying test to enter National Merit Scholarship compettions.  Interested students can register with Mrs. Booher in the Guidance Office during the week of September 17 - 21.  You must bring a check for $14 made out to Celina High School.
