STUDENT INFORMATION

Student Rotary winners that were scheduled to go to the Rotary luncheon, February 18th, will be rescheduled for March 18th at the same time. Mr. Stetler will be passing out information to you!!

TOMORROW, FEBRUARY 21ST, is the due date for the last NYC payment.  All accounts need to be paid in full  to Mrs. Sutter or Miss Brunswick in the Art room in order to attend the trip.

I-Flirtz forms can be purchased for $2.00 during lunch tomorrow, February 21st.

Prom visitor forms are available in the office.

 

The lunch menu for FRIDAY is Mexican Bar: nachos, burrito, taco with lettuce and cheese, refried beans, fruit, & milk OR a cheeseburger sandwich.
 

SPORTS/ATHLETICS

ATTENTION TRACK ATHLETES...MANDATORY informational meeting for the upcoming spring track season will be held: TODAY, FEBRUARY 20th for the BOYS after school in the cafeteria.  Make plans to attend and bring a pen/pencil.
TRACK ATHLETES still participating in a winter sport, and who CANNOT attend the scheduled track meetings, MUST meet with Coach Otten during I.E. period on Monday, February 24th in the Media Center.

There will be a meeting TODAY, February 20th in Mrs. Mitchell-Payne's room right after school for ALL GIRLS INTERESTED IN PLAYING SOCCER IN THE FALL OF 2014!

Pre-sale tickets for BOYS BASKETBALL will be sold Thursday and Friday in the High School Athletic Office from 10:45 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Student pre-sale tickets are $4.00. Adult pre-sale tickets are $6.00. All general admission tickets will be $6.00 at the door.

Cheer tryouts for next school year will be held on Monday, March 10th through Thursday, March 13th from 4 - 6 pm at the Fieldhouse.  Please sign the sheet and take an information sheet which are both located in the office.

JUNIORS AND SENIORS.....Attend the 6th session, sponsored by Celina Mercer County Chamber & Rotary Club, which will take place TOMORROW, FEBRUARY 11TH during I.E./Advisory. This session will focus on Social Media - Does it Pay to be "Liked"? The more sessions you attend, the greater chance of winning a FLAT SCREEN TV!!

Thursday, February 13th from 5:30 - 7:30 pm

Who needs to jump in Mirror Lake, when Grand Lake is right here in town!! Please join us at the Polar Plunge on March 1st at the Celina Moose Lodge. This year, the area highschool with the most participation will win $1,000!! Plungers are encouraged to wear costumes and must raise a minimum of $50 in order to be considered a participant. you will also be given a long sleeve shirt and the Moose provides a reception, with free food, for all Plungers after the frigid jump. To sweeten the deal, LISTEN UP.....if CHS gets 15 official participants, Mr. Foulkes has agreed to Plunge!! If we get 25, Mr. Metz will be joining him!! If you are at all interested, please see Mrs. Ball asap for sign up and fundraising materials.

THURSDAY IS FTA VALENTINE DONUT DAY!!
If you want to make a special order for YOUR sweetie, just give your order to any FTA member and it will be here for them Thursday morning.

Due to delays and closings in the past month, the Green & White Scholarship deadline has been extended to February 13th. If you do not have an application, stop in the Guidance Office and ask for one. There is still time!!

     **REMINDER:  There will be a meeting for those ART students who will have work entered into the Governor's Art Exhibit on Tuesday, February 19th in the Lecture Hall during Advisory.

     **The junior class needs concession stand workers for the boy's basketball game FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 15th!  Sign up today in room 201 (Mr. Higgin's room).  Popcorn workers report to the Fieldhouse at 4:30 and all other workers need to be there by 5:30.

     **PreCalculus Students, especially those not in PreCalculus this trimester, the OCTM test will be given Saturday, February 23rd from 8:40 - 10:15 am.  If you are interested in taking it to build your scholarship resume, see Mrs. Draiss, Mrs. Gudorf, or Mr. Jenkins as soon as possible.

     **Book Club will meet TODAY in the Media Center during advisory:  remember to bring your treats. 

     **Pre-sale Boys Basketball tickets will be available in the Athletic Office TODAY from
10:45 - 2:45.  The Friday night game will be HOME against Elida and Saturday night's game is at LCC.

Come support our Bulldogs with a "Rise as One" night by wearing your green t-shirts to show your spirit and cheer on the Dogs to defeat the Elida Bulldogs!  We will Rise as One in defeating those Elida Dogs!  Be at the game on Friday, February 15th.

The Boys Basketball team will also be selling a tournament t-shirt to "keep the tradition going". So bring your $10.00 to purchase a cash and carry shirt for the boys basketball tournaments that begin on February 27th.  The shirts will be for sale in the high school office beginning February 20th.  See you at the game!

There will be NO INDOOR TRACK Saturday morning or Monday evening!!

TRACK MEETINGS, for those interested in participating this spring, will be held next week at 2:30 in the Lecture Hall.  Boys meet on Tuesday, February 19th and girls on Wednesday, February 20th.  Please bring a pen and/or pencil.  Any questions, see Coach Otten.

     **The BLOOD DRIVE is right around the corner....next THURSDAY the 21st.  You need to hurry, be heroic, sign up and GIVE BLOOD!!

     **STUDY TABLES are ALWAYS offered every day after school from 2:30 - 3:00 and on Thursday evenings from 7:00 - 8:00.  Take advantage of this opportunity to get some one-on- one assistance with your studies!!
