STUDENT INFORMATION

TONIGHT is the FTA Student - Faculty game!! Players should try to be at the fieldhouse by 5:30.
Game Time is 6:00 SHARP!!
Everyone should come and cheer on the players!!

Student Council applications for the 2014 - 2015 school year are in the front office. Pick your form up TODAY if you are interested in joining Student Council!!

The Battle of Mercer County Schools
Raising Money for Cancer Association of Mercer County
Accepting Donations (in the front office) April 28th - May 7th
Your donations will go directly to helping Mercer County Residents who are battling cancer. Please see the list by 'donation bucket' and REMEMBER TO HONOR A LOVED ONE as you make your donation!
The winner will be announced at the Hopefest on Friday, May 9th!
 
The lunch menu for WEDNESDAY is chicken & noodles, mashed potatoes, dinner roll, fruit, and milk.


The Army National Guard will have a representative
here at lunch time TODAY, April 30th!!

ATTENTION SENIORS: Please bring a list to the 'Mandatory Senior Meeting' (May 6th) of all the scholarships you received from a college or any local scholarships.  You will need to know the name of the scholarship, who gave you the scholarship and the amount.  This will all have to be listed on your 'Post High School Plans' form at the meeting.
Any senior that earned a scholarship needs to also drop off a picture to the Guidance Office, if you want your picture to appear in the Daily Standard with the scholarship article.  Bring the picture to the Guidance Office by May 15th.  Please write your name on the back of the picture and drop if off to Mrs. Booher in the Guidance Office.

The FTA Student - Faculty game is TOMORROW evening, April 29th at 6:00 at the fieldhouse.  For only $2 you can watch the teachers defend their title and help the FTA Scholarship Fund.

The lunch menu for TUESDAY is pasta bar, bread stick, carrots, applesauce, and milk OR a BBQ pulled pork sandwich.


Any A.P. student who signed up to take an AP exam will need to attend a pre-registration session TOMORROW, APRIL 29th during the first part of 5th period. Students should report directly to the Lecture Hall with a pencil. This session is mandatory if you plan on testing. The session will last approximately 15 minutes. Students who have early release should make plans to stay for this session.

The Army National Guard will have a representative here at lunch time tomorrow, April 29th.

 
 

Varsity baseball WON the Ft. Loramie Invitational this past weekend defeating Minster 4 - 3 and Ft. Loramie 5 - 0.  The final home game will be this Tuesday, April 29th versus St. Marys.

LISTEN UP: The annual Children's Hospital toy drive is now in full swing and spots for the trip are filling up fast. If you would like to join see Mrs. Ball or Mrs. Kramer for a permission slip. Our goal this year is to collect 1500 brand new toys for kids in Dayton Children's - if you can help us meet our goal please drop your toys off in room 212.

REMINDER TO ALL SENIORS.....the series of 8 programs, sponsored by Celina Mercer County Chamber & Rotary Club, will begin TODAY from 1:35 - 2:20 with Christy Shell of Zeal Coaching. Her first topic is "This is your Life: Taking Your Dream to Reality." All seniors are required to be at the first session which will take place in the Lecture Hall. Seniors can register for all other intriguing sessions in the Guidance Office. The more sessions you attend, the greater chance of winning a FLAT SCREEN TV!!

General Student Council meetings will continue to meet on Wednesdays during I/E in the Lecture Hall.  Council members be sure to be there TOMORROW!!

CHS Students for Life will meet TOMORROW after school in Mr. Andrew's room. Everyone is welcome to attend!!

FRENCH CLUB MEETING after school TODAY in room 202.

Mr. Ellinger's class from first trimester may pick up their 3-ring binders anytime this week. After that, they will be given away or tossed out!!

AMERICAN EDUCATION WEEK is celebrated this week.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU TO OUR TEACHERS, BUS DRIVERS, EDUCATIONAL AIDES, PRINCIPAL, ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL, ATTENDANCE OFFICER, CAFETERIA WORKERS, ATHLETIC DIRECTOR, COACHES, COUNSELORS, SECRETARIES, NURSES, MEDIA SPECIALIST, SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS, AND VOLUNTEERS. These people CARE about the students at Celina High School and strive to help each one succeed!!

TIME TO SIGN UP in the office FOR THE BLOOD DRIVE, which will take place on Thursday, December 19th.  Come to donate and receive a t-shirt!!

The personalized and very cool SENIOR T-SHIRTS are now on sale for only $15. Seniors can obtain an order form in the office or see Mr. Andrew or a class officer. ALL ORDERS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED WITH YOUR PAYMENT!!

SPORTS/ATHLETICS


 
Are you someone who is energetic, who has good sportsmanship and school spirit???  Do you like to jump around and give high fives????  YOU could be our next Spike!!!
We are looking for a Bulldog Mascot for this basketball season.  You must not be a participant in any other Winter sports because as the mascot, you will earn a Varsity letter.  Males and females are welcome and tumbling is not required.  If you have any questions, see Miss Brunswick.  All students interested should write their name on the sign-up sheet in the office.
 
ALL BOYS who are planning to play tennis this Spring must attend the meeting TOMORROW at 2:25 p.m. in the cafeteria. If you cannot attend, you must see Coach Hainline before the meeting.
 
Anyone planning on running OUTDOOR TRACK in the Spring, needs to attend the brief meeting TOMORROW morning at 7:15 in the Lecture Hall.

Also those planning on running INDOOR TRACK, will have a brief meeting TOMORROW afternoon at 2:30 in the CAPT building.
