STUDENT INFORMATION

LISTEN UP: The annual Children's Hospital toy drive is now in full swing and spots for the trip are filling up fast. If you would like to join see Mrs. Ball or Mrs. Kramer for a permission slip. Our goal this year is to collect 1500 brand new toys for kids in Dayton Children's - if you can help us meet our goal please drop your toys off in room 212.

REMINDER TO ALL SENIORS.....sign up for the 2nd session, sponsored by Celina Mercer County Chamber & Rotary Club, which will take place on December 3rd during I.E./Advisory.  This topic will focus on "Where do I find scholarships?"  Seniors can register in the Guidance Office. The more sessions you attend, the greater chance of winning a FLAT SCREEN TV!!

General Student Council meetings will continue to meet on Wednesdays during I/E in the Lecture Hall. Council members MAKE sure AND be there TODAY!!

CHS Students for Life will meet TODAY after school in Mr. Andrew's room. Everyone is welcome to attend!!

Mr. Wenning's class from first trimester may pick up their binders/notebooks anytime this week. After that, they will be given away or tossed out!!

AMERICAN EDUCATION WEEK is celebrated this week.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU TO OUR TEACHERS, BUS DRIVERS, EDUCATIONAL AIDES, PRINCIPAL, ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL, ATTENDANCE OFFICER, CAFETERIA WORKERS, ATHLETIC DIRECTOR, COACHES, COUNSELORS, SECRETARIES, NURSES, MEDIA SPECIALIST, SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS, AND VOLUNTEERS. These people CARE about the students at Celina High School and strive to help each one succeed!!

IT IS TIME TO SIGN UP in the office FOR THE BLOOD DRIVE, which will take place on Thursday, December 19th. Come to donate and receive a t-shirt!!

The personalized and very cool SENIOR T-SHIRTS are now on sale for only $15. Seniors can obtain an order form in the office or see Mr. Andrew or a class officer. ALL ORDERS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED WITH YOUR PAYMENT!!
ORDER DEADLINE....TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 26TH!!!

The lunch menu for THURSDAY is pasta bar, bread stick, green beans, pears and milk OR a meatball sub.
 
GUIDANCE
 
IPFW will have a representative in the cafeteria hallway during lunch tomorrow.
 
ATTENTION SOPHOMORES:  FRIDAY you will be attending an Orientation session for the TriStar Career Compact.  You will attend during either 1st, 2nd, or 3rd period.  You will need to report to class first and you will be called during the period.  Please bring a pencil.
 
ATTENTION SENIORS:  THIS FRIDAY is the LAST day to request a transcript IF YOU WANT IT SENT OUT BEFORE THANKSGIVING BREAK.
Keep in mind that we will be out of school Nov. 27 - Dec. 2.  If you are applying to a college with an admission deadline of Dec. 1st (For example:  University of Cincinnati, Miami University) you will need to be sure and take care of requesting transcripts by FRIDAY.  IF you are applying through the Common Application, you also need to make your counselor aware of this by FRIDAY!  NO SCHOOL REPORT FORMS WILL BE ABLE TO BE PROCESSED DURING THE BREAK.

SPORTS/ATHLETICS



Are you someone who is energetic, who has good sportsmanship and school spirit??? Do you like to jump around and give high fives???? YOU could be our next Spike!!!
We are looking for a Bulldog Mascot for this basketball season. You must not be a participant in any other Winter sports because as the mascot, you will earn a Varsity letter. Males and females are welcome and tumbling is not required. If you have any questions, see Miss Brunswick. All students interested should write their name on the sign-up sheet in the office.
ALL BOYS who are planning to play tennis this Spring must attend the meeting TODAY at 2:25 p.m. in the cafeteria. If you cannot attend, you must see Coach Hainline before the meeting.

Also those planning on running INDOOR TRACK, will have a brief meeting TODAY at 2:30 in the CAPT building.
 
FRESHMEN FOOTBALL PLAYERS:  The pizza party/banquet will be TOMORROW evening at 7:00 in the CAPT building.
