4.16.15 ANNOUNCEMENTS

Any student who took Sports Physiology this year: If you want to go on the May 7th field trip to The University of Cincinnati, you need to see Mrs. Bruns for a permission slip. This must be turned in by Friday April 17th.

Sign-up sheets are now in the office for the last Blood Drive of the year! If you are a Senior, and have donated 3 times you are eligible for a red cord at graduation!! See Kristen in the Office for details!!

Prom is a special, formal dance put on by the Juniors for the Senior Class. All Juniors and Seniors of CHS will have to pay $15 to attend Prom. However, if one of these Juniors or Seniors wishes to bring a date that is not a member of the Junior or Senior class, then there is a charge of $20 for this date. Any checks should be payable to: CHS-Junior Class. You will not pay for your Prom ticket until you pick-up your ticket the week of Prom. Remember that Celina's Prom is closed to only Junior and Seniors from CHS, or Juniors and Seniors from another school, or students who are already out of school and under 21 years of age.

It is time to sign up for tables for the Prom. Please come to Mrs. Sutter's room, room 115 with your groups of 8 to sit at a table.

Cap and Gown orders are in!!! If you did not pick up your graduation orders this past Tuesday, please stop by the Front Office and pick it up!! If you haven't ordered your Cap and Gown yet, there is still time!

If you are planning on attending a Military Academy, there are Information Nights underway in April. Representatives from the Naval Academy, Military Academy, Coast Guard, Merchant Marine Academy, and Air Force Academy will be in attendance to answer questions each evening 6:00-8:00pm. Interested students and their parents are invited to discover the career opportunities available at the U.S. Military Service Academies.

Tickets for this year's spring musical, Into the Woods, are still on sale!! It's a great show that will be fun for the whole family! 
Performances are April 17, and 18 at 8:00pm and April 19 at 3:00pm. Tickets are $9.00 each. Please make checks payable to: CHS Spring Musical. Send your order and payment to the Celina High School.

The ASVAB test, which is the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude test needed to enlist in any branch of the military, will be given in the Celina High School Lecture Hall on April 21, 2015 at 7:25am. Any student in grades 10 through 12 may sign up to take this test free of charge. Scores from ASVAB tests at grades 11 and 12 can be used for military entrance for up to two years. Any student who has already taken the ASVAB test can take the test again to try for a higher score. Please sign up in the Guidance Office and they can answer your questions.

BUCKEYE BOYS STATE FOR CURRENT JUNIORS

Information is currently available in the Front Office for the annual American Legion Buckeye Boys State. This is a premiere program offered to current juniors across the state of Ohio for teaching how government works while developing leadership skills and an appreciation for your rights as a citizen. As a participant in the program the student will run for office, learn public speaking, create and enforce laws and actively participate in all phases of creating and running a working government. Following are the dates for this year's program:

Buckeye Boys State - June 14-21, 2015 at Bowling Green State University

There is not cost to the student - The Celina American Legion will pay the entire cost. The organization will choose three or four students each to represent Celina High School at the seminar. Stop in the front office or see Mr. Wenning during lunch if you are interested in receiving more information about these two very valuable opportunities and completing an application.
