On Thursday, November 7th, second period, Celina High School will be participating in the Americanism and Government contest sponsored by the Celina American Legion. Prizes will be awarded to the top winners. The contest is open to any Sophomore through Senior whether you are in a Social Studies class or not. Sign-up in any of the Social Studies rooms on the third floor by November 6th. BE THERE OR BE SQUARE!!

Spirit Squad is co-hosting a spaghetti dinner TOMORROW at the Mercer County Fairgrounds. Stop by and support your classmates before the game from 4:30 - 7:30. See you there!!

CHS Autumn Theatre presents Once Upon a Wolf on November 8th, 9th, and 10th.  Tickets available in the office!!

Student Computer Accounts are listed outside the Library/Media Center. It is a list of students whose accounts will be turned off at the end of the week if student forms are not turned in. See Mrs. Baltzell!!

The lunch menu for FRIDAY is Mexican bar:  nachos, burrito, taco with lettuce and cheese, refried beans, fruit, and milk OR a cheeseburger sandwich. 

GUIDANCE

ATTENTIONS SENIORS: The date is October 31st. November 1st is ONE DAY AWAY!! This day will be celebrated as "DAY OF THE DEAD-LINE", as in: Ohio State and several other prime time universities have an Early Action deadline of NOVEMBER 1st. MANY of you have started but not finished your Common Applications. TAKE CARE OF THIS!! DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE!  IF YOU ARE INTENDING TO APPLY BUT HAVE NOT YET STARTED, YOU NEED TO GET MOVING. Counselors and Teachers will not be able to get recommendations finished any later than 9:00 a.m. TOMORROW morning. If you are having issues with this, see your counselor sometime NOW!
 
SPORTS/ATHLETICS
 
Presale tickets for Volleyball will be available in the Athletic Office TODAY from 7:00 am - 2:30 pm. Presale tickets are $6.00 and tickets sold at the door will be $8.00.

SENIORS: Remember that the early action deadline for Ohio State is November 1st. In case you don't have access to a calendar, this is next Friday. Remember that applications for main campus must be submitted online using the Common Application. DO NOT wait until the last minute to submit your application and ask for a teacher reference. If you wait until next Friday, your references will not get turned in on time. MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO SUBMIT THESE APPLICATIONS THIS WEEK! Check in the Guidance Office if you have questions.

The Navy will have a representative in the hallway at lunch time TODAY!

 CELINA VARSITY VOLLEYBALL defeated Bryan in three sets last night in the District opener.
Scores were 25-17, 25-11, 25-15.
They will play Defiance on Saturday evening in the District Finals.

Teens in 7th through 12th grade are invited to come dressed as Zombies and enjoy the movie Warm Bodies; rated PG-13, on Thursday, October 24th. Doors will open at 5:30 pm. Pizza, pop and brains will be served. Prizes for the best dressed will be award. Pre-registration is required. If you are donating blood next Tuesday, make sure you bring a photo ID or your Red Cross Donor Card.  Also a reminder to all 16 year olds donating blood....TURN IN YOUR PARENT PERMISSION FORM (if you haven't already), SO YOU CAN DONATE!!  :)

There are sign up sheets in room 212 if you would like to work the spaghetti dinner at the fairgrounds on November 1st or any of the remaining two home games for Spirit Squad.  Spots are filling up quickly and are first come first serve.
 
Don't forget, Mrs. Ball has 5 all sports passes that can be used to get into any home games that are not varsity football or basketball.  Stop by if you would like to borrow one and help support your bulldogs!

CELINA VARSITY VOLLEYBALL beat Wapak last night in 3 games to advance to the sectional finals on Saturday at Lima Senior at 2 pm. 
Scores were 25-22, 25-18, 25-15.

Edward Jones in cooperation with "Operation Gratitude" invites you in thanking our Service men and women and first responders as we collect used cell phones. Money earned from the recycling of cell phones will provide care packages for these men and women. You can deposit used cell phones in the high school office in the box labeled "Operation Gratitude".

REMINDER TO ALL SENIORS: Senior Picture Day is TOMORROW!!  ALL SENIORS are required to wear a white shirt for the picture PLEASE!!

There will be a mandatory NHS meeting in MP's room TOMORROW at 7:10 before school.
